Tabletop Decorations and Centerpieces
A centerpiece is a decorative display usually placed on
the main table at a party or special event to set the
mood. Choosing the right Halloween centerpiece depends on the size of your
table and the theme you are going for.
There are
so many different Halloween decorations and props that
be used as part of a Halloween centerpiece. You can
choose something that matches your place settings or go
with something completely in contrast.
You can buy ready
made Halloween centerpieces, but its a lot more fun and
creative to make your own. Lemax
"Spooky Town" decorations make great table
centerpieces and can be built upon year after year.
Decorating Your Car
If you can't afford to buy a
real hearse to park in your front
yard, consider decorating your car for Halloween.
Be sure to park your car
so that your visitors will have to pass by it when
walking up to your house. You can
any of the ideas below or a combination of them.
Sit a
life size skeleton or monster prop in the driver's
seat and attach its hands to the steering wheel with
tape, string or twist ties. You can place a black
chauffeur's style of cap on its head. We illuminate
the inside of our car with a small LED lantern so
that the prop can be seen.
Place
battery powered special effects lights inside or
under the car
when it is parked. Don't drive the car with effects
lighting in, on or under it for safety reasons.
Tape stretchable cob webs inside the car
and add a large fake spider to the web.
Securely
and safely attach a sturdy Halloween wreath to the
front grill, like people do for Xmas.
Have a Halloween slogan
personalized license plate holder made that say's
something like, "I Love Halloween", "Welcome Great
Pumpkin", etc.
Make an antenna ball out of a
small foam pumpkin or Jack O' Lantern and slide it
over the top of the antenna.
Documentation
Be sure to take plenty of video and
still pictures of your
Halloween festivities!
We like to interview some of our
trick-or-treaters at the front door, take pictures of our yard haunt
and while we are carving our pumpkins into
jack-o-lanterns.
You'll be glad you documented each and every Halloween when you
back and enjoy these memories later! Want to take the best
Halloween pictures you can?
